**About the house**
Majordoms Art takes its name from the family that built and lived in this house across generations. The upper floor space served as the painting studio of local artist Josep Colomer i Comas (Sant Feliu de Pallerols, 1935–2003), a landscape painter rooted in the tradition of the Escola d'Olot, known for his rural scenes of La Garrotxa. He painted here, received clients and gave lessons. His work is part of private collections in Catalonia and internationally.

SURROUNDING AREA
Sant Feliu de Pallerols is a quiet village in the comarca of La Garrotxa, in inland Girona, surrounded by wooded hills and the boundaries of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. The village has a calm pace of life, local character and marked trails for hikers and cyclists just steps from the centre.
Neighbourhood
The house is on Carrer de la Creu, a quiet residential street in the centre of the village. The area is peaceful, with immediate neighbours on both sides. Note that privacy in the garden and pool area is more limited than at an isolated rural property — the outdoor spaces face neighbouring houses and the surrounding slope. Given the proximity of neighbours, respecting the quiet hours (22:00–08:00) is especially important here.
Village (Sant Feliu de Pallerols)
The village is walkable, with basic services and a strong local feel. It is a good base for exploring the natural park on foot or by bike, with paths and quiet roads heading directly into the surrounding landscape.
Comarca (La Garrotxa)
La Garrotxa is known for the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, one of the best-preserved volcanic landscapes on the Iberian Peninsula, with around 40 volcanic cones and lava flows among beech forests and farmland. The comarca capital, Olot, is about 15 km away and has a good range of restaurants, a weekly market and cultural attractions. Girona is about 45 km to the east and the Costa Brava less than 60 km away. The comarca is well set up for cyclists and hikers, with a network of rural paths and low-traffic roads crossing the park and connecting the villages. The Brugent river gorges — especially around Les Planes d'Hostoles — are one of the most popular natural attractions in the area, with swimming holes, waterfalls and shaded trails.
CLIMATE
La Garrotxa has a moderate inland Mediterranean climate, somewhat cooler than the coast due to its inland position and volcanic topography. Summers are warm (July and August typically reach 28–32°C), with pleasant evenings and long hours of daylight. Spring and autumn are green and mild, with temperatures between 12 and 22°C, ideal for walking, cycling and exploring the natural park without summer heat. Winters are cool and often misty, but rarely very cold, making the area a comfortable base for off-season stays. The landscape stays green and lush all year round thanks to the comarca's rainfall.
