Welcome to Castell de Villavecchia, an exceptional property located on the top of a mountain in the green hills of Les Guilleries, just one hour from Barcelona and half an hour from Girona. Here, at 930 metres above sea level and surrounded by pine forests, you will find an oasis of tranquillity, space and history, perfect for large families, groups of friends, retreats, companies or creative projects.
The fully fenced domain of 11 hectares of private land consists of a beautiful restored modernist castle and a separate guest accommodation 100 metres away. Together they offer comfortable accommodation for a maximum of 33 guests, with all the amenities for a worry-free stay, whether you come to relax, work or celebrate.
The castle - a place with soul and style
The heart of the estate is the imposing Castell de Villavecchia, built in 1894 by the famous architect Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia. The building breathes character: from the original wooden structures and the round tower to the chapel with an atmosphere decorated by the sculptor Frederic Marès.
Inside, style and comfort are harmoniously combined. The castle has:
12 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, distributed across several floors
A large music room with piano, leaded windows and impressive staircase
Several lounges and living rooms with high ceilings, fireplaces and terrace access
A spacious dining room with capacity for 14+ people and authentic details

Just 100 metres from the castle is the cosy guest accommodation, accessible via a paved path. Here up to 13 additional guests can comfortably spend the night. This independent accommodation allows for receiving larger groups, while everyone maintains sufficient privacy and space. It is also ideal for companions, coaches or families who wish for a bit more isolation.
